Early Life & Education

  • Bridget Christina Sandmeier (later known as Bridget Marquardt) was born September 25, 1973 in Tillamook, Oregon.

  • Shortly after her birth, her family moved to California, where she was raised.

  • Her parents divorced when she was in fifth grade. Her mother remarried, and she lived with her mother, brother (Edward), and later gained a half-sister, Anastasia.

  • She attended Galt High School for freshman and sophomore years, then transferred to Lodi High School, graduating in 1990.

  • Education: she earned an Associate degree from San Joaquin Delta College; then a B.A. in Communications (with emphasis in Public Relations) from California State University, Sacramento; and later a master’s degree from University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

Career & Public Life

  • Bridget first became involved with Playboy after writing a letter to inquire how to become a Playmate while still in college.

  • She competed in Playboy’s Millennium Playmate search in 1998.

  • In 2001, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue modeling and acting.

  • Over time, she became a regular at the Playboy Mansion. In October 2002, she was invited to move in and became one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends.
