Elizabeth Berkley

Elizabeth Berkley is an American actress born on July 28, 1971, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She is best known for her role as Jessie Spano on the popular 1990s TV series Saved by the Bell. Berkley's portrayal of the ambitious and socially conscious high school student garnered her significant attention and established her as a prominent figure in teen television during that era.

After Saved by the Bell, Berkley pursued a career in film, most notably in the controversial 1995 movie Showgirls, where she played the lead role of Nomi Malone. The film, which centered on the world of Las Vegas showgirls, became infamous for its explicit content and received mixed reviews. Over time, Showgirls developed a cult following, and Berkley’s performance has been re-evaluated by some critics as a camp classic.

Berkley continued to act in both television and film, but in recent years, she has shifted towards teaching and coaching acting, including offering courses to help others in the industry. She is also active on social media and in various charitable endeavors.
