She was born into a film-family: her father is Subhash Sharma (a writer/director/producer) and her mother is Sheela Sharma (an actress).

She attended Marble Arch School in Mumbai for her schooling.

For college, she studied English Literature at Mithibai College, Mumbai.

She also received formal training in acting, enrolling at Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute from around age 15.

In addition, she learned dance under prominent choreographers Shiamak Davar, Ganesh Acharya, and Uma Dogra.

Personal Life

Madalsa married Mahaakshay Chakraborty (aka Mimoh), son of veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, in 2018.

In an interview in 2025, she reflected on how she and her husband have “evolved so much as a couple,” describing their bond as having grown into deep friendship.
